  2.  WAVmaker 2.2 for Windows - Evaluation Package

  5.  WAVmaker 2.2 for Windows 3.1 features CD quality  MID -> WAV 
  6.  rendering, tons of Digital Signal Processing functions (mix, 
  7.  maximize, fade, gate, compress, enhance, low/high/band/notch 
  8.  filter, ring modulation, vocoder, reverse, echo, reverb, 
  9.  flange, chorus, extend, cut, gated cut) and MIDI analysis/
  10.  manipulation. Full on-line documentation is included.

  12.  WAVmaker is shareware. What you have received is the WAVmaker 
  13.  Evaluation Package, which comes with a subset of the full General 
  14.  MIDI patch/sample library delivered upon registration. A proprietary
  15.  sound data packer/unpacker (included) allows sound file distribution
  16.  on ordinary 3.5" HD disks. You won't believe your ears!

  18.  Version 2.2 is a FREE upgrade for all registered users of version
  19.  2.0-2.1 (Advanced AND Standard). Users with an Advanced registration 
  20.  for versions 2.0-2.1 will still get a free update to the next major 
  21.  release when it becomes available. Compliments of Tommy Anderberg!

  23.  *** IMPORTANT ***: The ECHO.INI and REVERB.INI created by WAVmaker 
  24.  2.0 are not compatible with version 2.2. If you intend to install 
  25.  WAVmaker 2.2 over version 2.0, you should delete ECHO.INI and 
  26.  REVERB.INI first.

  28.  The Evaluation Package may be distributed freely for evaluation 
  29.  purposes. Full distribution and registration information is in the 
  30.  on-line docs.

  32.  SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: 386+. FPU recommended. MS Windows 3.1 or 
  33.                       higher. 3.4 MB free hard disk space (10+ MB 
  34.                       recommended). Disk cache (e.g. SMARTDRV.SYS) 
  35.                       recommended. High quality sound card (16 
  36.                       bits/44.1 kHz/stereo) strongly recommended.

  38.  NOTE: WAVmaker 2.2 is also available in a 32 bit version for
  39.        Windows 95 and NT.

  41.  If at all possible, use a good amplifier/speaker system (not pitiful 
  42.  PC gamer's speakers) to fully enjoy WAVmaker's CD quality output.

  44.  INSTALLATION:        Run INSTALL.EXE. 
  45.  
  46.  *** IMPORTANT ***: If you do not have a hardware floating point
  47.  unit, and you do not have a copy of the Watcom C/C++ compiler 
  48.  installed under Windows, you must add the following line to the 
  49.  [386Enh] section of your SYSTEM.INI file, in the Windows directory:

  51.  device=<path>WEMU387.386
  52.  
  53.  where <path> is the the directory where you have installed WAVmaker, 
  54.  e.g. C:\WMWIN\. Windows must be restarted for this line to take 
  55.  effect.
